What actually changed

The situation each business started with, what got built, and what was different afterwards.

Two development partners customised the software until it could not be upgraded. This one left it alone.

A third attempt, with the engineering paid out of a share of one revenue line rather than up front. Every bought part stayed standard, and only the two pieces that did not exist got built.

The landing page was already working. The one thing it needed could not be bought.

Every bond calculator on offer was either expensive or felt wrong, so those got built. The words went into a CMS BondPro edit themselves, and the arithmetic stayed in code.

Every advocate needed a presence worth having, and commissioning one website at a time did not scale.

A portfolio platform with three tiers, from a curated template to one built from scratch, where every tier reads its content from the same admin. Built without being charged for, and paid out of what each sale earns. The first portfolio is live.

We were telling clients to own what they are best at, from inside somebody else’s free tier.

The ordinary half went to standard software on infrastructure we own. The half that is ours is this website, becoming the place a customer deals with us for everything they buy. Not because it is cheaper.

A pipeline anyone can look at, with notes that live on the deal they belong to.
Who sees the work is decided on whether it helps, not on what a seat costs.
Every rough edge was found running our own delivery, not a pilot.
